Midsommar Celebration

On June 18 we organized the midsummer event for newly arrived families. Over a hundred people joined us to get a taste of Swedish summer!

We served traditional Swedish food like pickled herring with potatoes, eggs with caviar, a variety of salads, and of course delicious strawberry cakes! Along with the food, our volunteers were telling people about Swedish midsummer traditional celebrations.

We had a lot of activities for the children. They could choose to get a colorful face painting or a cute temporary tattoo from our volunteers. They also could show their artistic talents by drawing with markers, glitters, or chalks. Later in the day, there were active games and dancing with flower wreaths.

And of course, even during the event, we didn’t stop distributing necessities and providing consultations on various matters. The war is not over during the holidays. Please help us improve the lives of victims of war in Sweden. Make a donation or become one of our wonderful volunteers!
